Already the 20th edition...

Since its creation in 1983, the colloquium has brought together every two years the French-speaking community of chemists, physicists and biologists involved in the study of self-organised anisotropic systems. It follows on from the Colloque Francophone sur les Cristaux Liquides (CFCL) which, since 2007, has extended beyond the historical theme to many fields such as self-assembled systems (gels, surfactants, polyelectrolytes, block copolymers, etc.), nanoparticles and colloids (organic, inorganic and “inorganic/organic” hybrids), bio-inspired systems and the modelling and advanced characterisation of these different anisotropic systems.

This international colloquium was initially aimed at French-speaking researchers and teacher-researchers. Gradually, participation was extended to non-French-speaking countries, notably through invited speakers. During the last editions, almost half of the papers were presented in English.

The 2021 edition aims to bring together 60 participants to discuss the latest advances and new directions in research on self-organised anisotropic systems, from fundamental knowledge to applications. This event aims to promote exchanges between scientific specialists from different fields, strengthen interdisciplinarity, initiate new collaborations and encourage the expression of young researchers. The provisional scientific programme includes 6 invited lectures, 25 oral presentations and 25 poster communications.

This event will be co-organised by the UDSMM laboratories of the Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale (ULCO) and UCCS of the Université d’Artois (UA). Partnerships will be set up with public bodies and private companies.
